We are seeking a registered veterinary nurse to join the team on a fixed-term contract!
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week over five days with 1:6 full weekends.
Even though this is a fixed-term contract there will be scope for this position to turn into a permanent position after if it is suitable for both parties.
The average day will include a variety of nursing and surgical duties as well as assisting with nursing clinics.
You responsibilities will include:
- Nursing/discharge of in-patients, prioritising patient welfare and care.
- Training of junior nurses & supporting students in practice.
- Running in house lab samples and organising repeat prescriptions.
- Nurse consultations
You will be joining a spacious practice that provides 24 hour care to the surrounding region and referral work in exotic medicine. It's fully equipped with separate dog, cat & exotics wards, high quality ultrasound machine, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, multi-parameter monitoring and holds a cat friendly status.
The specialist equipment allows a high standard of care including smaller ultrasound probes, endoscopy systems, a dedicated exotics ward and special dentistry equipment and instruments for smaller patients.
