We have an excellent opportunity for a Head Nurse to join this Small Animal Practice.

This is a full-time position covering 4 days a week. Hours are 9-7 with 1 hours lunch. There are no weekends or OOHs currently.

You will be joining a 2 Vet team, 1, 1 Receptionist and 1 SVN.

As well as your day-to-day-duties as an RVN, you will have the responsibilities of a head nurse which will include, rota management and SVN training.

One of the Vets has a particular interest in orthopaedics and has carried out several surgical course to widen their knowledge. The other Vet has a keen interest in anaesthesia and internal medicine so there is a varied caseload allowing you to also broaden your knowledge.

As well as the above caseload, the practice provides a wide variety of services such as routine consultation, blood tests, X-rays and ultrasounds.

This will be a very rewarding as the Lead Vet is happy for you to make this position your own. The team are very much open to new ideas and ways to shape/improve the practice.

Salary is very much dependent on experience as this role would suit someone looking to make the step up as training will be provided or someone looking to change practice for a new environment as a Head Nurse.
