We are working with a lovely independent practice near Woking, who are looking for a Ward Registered Veterinary Nurse to take the next step in their career and join their friendly, progressive team.
The role is 40 hours a week, working 4x10 hour shifts per week to include weekends, on calls and bank holidays on a rotational basis, as a fair share.
The role of a ward Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) is vital in providing inpatient care within the hospital. It requires the post holder to work closely with our clinical team to include the specialists, residents, interns, Senior RVNs, RVNs and Veterinary Care Assistants (VCAs).
This role is specifically a wards-based role and is focussed on inpatient care, which may involve critical and one to one nursing care. It involves the use of advanced nursing skills and proactivity to ensure all patients’ needs are met or exceeded.
The facilities are state of the art and include four operating theatres, 160 slice CT scanner, C-arm fluoroscopy unit, Interventional Radiology suite, minimally-invasive surgical equipment, cystoscopy/endoscopy/bronchoscopy, chemotherapy suite, ultrasonography, digital radiography and full in-house laboratory.
You would be joining a great team of 40 Veterinary Care Assistants, RVNs, and Senior RVNs. You do not need previous referral experience as you will be fully supported by the clinical team in an induction process tailored to your individual experience and requirements. You should be committed to professional development and looking to be challenged in a busy referral environment.
