We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the friendly Small Animal practice near Ely.

This full-time permanent role would be 37.5 hours per week worked over 5 days Monday to Friday.

You will be expected to work one on call weekend and one Saturday morning in every 12-week period. A day off in lieu is offered after working a Saturday on the on-call weekend and extra pay is claimed for the Saturday morning and out of hours periods.

You will also need to take part in an out of hours rota to help take care of our inpatients. This is worked one night in three weeks and involves checks, administering medication to any inpatients as well as helping to work up and stabilise any cases which present late in the day. Phones are sent to a local out of hours emergency provider during weeknights and for part of the weekend.

They have an experienced team consisting of 3 Veterinary Surgeons and 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses with typically one to two Vets performing procedures during the day as well as consultations and a consult only Vet.

They run a daily column of Nurse consultations covering routine health checks for pet health plan, as well as second vaccinations, post operative check-ups and weight clinics. They also have a dedicated cat ward, two operating theatres, tub table, multiparameter monitors and doppler.
