Exciting opportunity for a registered veterinary nurse to join a caring, supportive and dedicated team in our Barton-Upon-Humber practice on a part-time basis.

This is a permanent part-time role working 24 hours a week over five days with 1:3 Saturdays. We're open to negotiation so get in touch and let us know what works for you.

Your average day will include a variety of nursing and surgical duties as well as assisting with nursing clinics. You will work closely within an experienced team and nurses really do get to nurse. Strong mentorship and support will be available to help you develop your career and get the most satisfaction from your job. You'll be free to devote all of your time to looking after your clients and patients.

For this diverse and dynamic role you’ll need to be an RCVS registered nurse with small animal practice experience, put high standards of patient care first, demonstrate how you’ve worked with empathy and initiative when needed. You will need to understand not only your role but also the capabilities of the team around you and be eager to help colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge.

Salary of £30,000 PA (Pro-rata) along with excellent benefits and supportive working environment.

Key Accountabilities

- Nursing/discharge of in-patients, prioritising patient welfare and care. - Training of junior nurses & supporting students in practice. - Running in house lab samples and organising repeat prescriptions. - Nurse consultations.

The practice are RCVS accredited, nurse training practice with excellent facilities. Equipment includes in-house laboratory, x-ray, dental, ultrasound, ECG, blood pressure and multi-parameter anaesthetic monitors.

They have spacious consulting rooms and a minimum 15 minute appointment times. They provide a range of services including advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery to our long standing and appreciative client base.
