We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a wonderful team at fantastic surgery in Colchester.

The role will involve all aspects of nursing, the position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas.

This is a full-time permanent position, covering 40 hours a week over 5 days. You will also be part of a weekend rota, covering 1:4 weekends. We can also offer this role for 4 day week at 10 hours per day or a 5 day week at 8 hours a day with 30 mins lunch.

A fantastic Salary of £30,000 + excellent benefits.

Key Accountabilities

Manage the performance of the practice on a day-to-day basis

Ensure all team members provide quality and ethical care to all clients and their pets/livestock

Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures

Ensure all members of the nursing staff are aware of their roles and job description,working to clear  objectives set

Carry out regular performance reviews and update training requirements where necessary

Support Clinical Coaches with the planning of student tutorials and training where necessary

Rota management to always provide adequate cover of staff within the practice

Assess and examine and diagnose patients’ medical issues

Maintain patients’ medical records

You will be working with a supportive team of nurses and full time receptionists. The practice has good facilities and is a cat friendly clinic.
